What better way to experience Japan than by motorcycle. The social aspect of motorcycle touring in Japan is very enjoyable. Friendships are made during the tours and many become life time connections, the common bond of a love for motorcycle riding brings together people from all walks of life and it's not rare for people on these types of tours to repeat these trips over and over again.
Japan is an amazing futuristic country with a dazzling technological cityscape and transport network . It's also an old culture that gives you the sense of discovery felt riding through old villages, through scenic mountain passes, visiting temples, and riding along awesome coast lines. All of this has been put together combined with riding on the fabulous Shinkansen Bullet Trains, bicycling around Kyoto, and experiencing the gracious Japanese culture makes this tour a must for the discerning traveller.

Day 1 Tokyo Arrival Day - Narita Airport. Transfer to hotel and take a walk around and see the sights of Tokyo to stretch your legs after the long flight. Dinner in the evening with the group and your guides where we go an over view of the tour itinerary, motorcycling in Japan, highlights to see and do on the tour, and questions and answers time.
Day 2 Iwaki Today we collect our bikes to ride north to Iwaki to stay at a traditional Japanese Inn and experience our first taste of traditional Japanese cuisine. Breakfast we will have an overview of the day with the guides plus outline of the highlights along the route. DB
Day 3 Nikko Ride thru the scenic Abukuma Kochi Mountains stopping off at the eerie Fukuroda Waterfall along the way. The town of Nikko is host to World Heritage temples and shrines Tosho-gu being very famous. Our hotel is close by so take the time to visit this beautiful shrine.
Day 4 Fukuoka We ride back to Tokyo and return our bikes. Today we swap our form of transport for a plane for the evening flight to Fukuoka. Fukuoka is where we are collecting next group of motorcycles. We meet local friends and dine out at one of the many exotic restaurants.
Day 5 Nagasaki After a collecting our bikes we head south to Nagasaki for 2 nights. We ride along beautiful coastlines, past rice fields, and through rural villages and towns.
Day 6 Nagasaki A leisurely free day or a fast one. Stroll around Nagasaki and you can take a bus tour of the city that highlights the history of the town. Or hop on your bike and take a ride around Mt Unzen and visit the Shimbara Castle. For those who stay in town, the Atomic Bomb Museum, Glover House, Sofukuji temple are all a must to see.
Day7&8 Fukuoka - Kyoto Returning the bikes back to Fukuoka we have another night in Fukuoka followed by a ride on the Shinkansen Bullet Train the next day to Kyoto for 2 nights. This beautiful city was not bombed during the war and remains to this day one of the loveliest cities in the world. The Golden Temple is one of the highlights to see here.
Day 9 Kyoto A free day to tour Kyoto. We will describe the many sights to see here and you get to make your own plan. Bicycle (free) or scooter (not free!) are the best and the easiest ways to get around. Visit the Emperors Palace, the Gion District, and ride thru the fascinating maze of old Japan.
Day 10 Tokyo It’s back on the Shinkansen Train and we head back to Tokyo. The train takes us through a vast and varied countryside quickly.
Day 11 Free Day Tokyo Relax in Tokyo. Time to sightsee around this fantastic city, visit the markets, the Emperors Palace, do some high technology shopping, or select from the vast amount of great things to see and do in Tokyo! Final tour dinner tonight.
Day 12 Departure Day Sadly all good things come to an end and we must depart this wonderful country. We will assist you with your airport transfers from the hotel. We leave Japan and take with us great memories of a fantastic country.
